It is not a heroic deed to found a company that deals with learning and development. On the contrary, what could be more obvious than to engage in human resources and organizational development in an enlightened Europe, in a liberal democracy with all its opportunities to learn and develop? But is it really so obvious? The tendency to polarize, to develop enemy images, and to be irreconcilable in asserting one's own truth seems to have increased everywhere in Europe in recent years. The danger of an illiberal, intolerant society that does not want to learn and associates development only with fear and unwelcome change is steadily increasing. Enduring uncertainty and seeing it as an opportunity to shape things seems unattractive compared with the prospect of uniformity, stability and order in one's own opinion bubble.
For 20 years we have been pursuing one goal: to promote dialogue, the exchange of opinions and the associated opportunity to learn and develop in everything we do. To do this, we must master and pass on an art: Doubting. Doubt makes us immune to fanatical egalitarianism, to the uncritical consumption of truths that all too often conceal manipulation and the striving for power. Constructive, doubting questioning is also the engine room for improvement, personal development and the pursuit of top performance. Doubt is at the core of our enlightened culture, fought for over millennia against authority, defended by philosophers, politicians and scientists. In recent years, we have come to realize that this achievement cannot be taken for granted. Our freedom to doubt is also defended in the seminar room.
Our mission statement "Standard is not enough!" has not lost its relevance in all these years. Questioning standards in order to arrive at new insights and solutions "off the standards" remains the core of our work. We leave no doubt about this (for once).
