With development centers it is a matter of identifying the strengths and weaknesses of the participants, assessment centers are a common procedure in personnel selection. The focus is on the objective observation of the participants in the various tasks and the written compilation of the results.

We know how important an accurate and objective assessment is and often see observers writing their notes on paper, collecting them throughout the day and typing them into the computer.
